A NEW autism service which aims to help young adults with autistic spectrum disorders is set to open in Mid Devon. The Priory Group, Europe?s leading independent provider of specialist education and care services has opened Coombe House, a new service focusing on care, learning and development near Crediton. Principal officer Jonathan Hammond believes that Coombe House?s emphasis on daily life skills, active life education and personal development will be unique for autistic young people in Devon. He said: ?Coombe House will provide residents with pathways towards independence and the opportunity to discover new interests and develop new skills. ?We look forward to becoming part of the local community.?
