NINETEEN members of her family celebrated the 100th birthday of Mrs Phyllis Crudgington on Monday January 2.

The celebration, at the home of her daughter in?Greensway Road, Tavistock, included daughter Lorna and son Lee, three grand-daughters, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Phyllis was born in Sussex and has lived in London, Hertfordshire and Devon.?Before her marriage she trained as a seamstress and worked for the court dressmaker Norman Hartnell.
