THE Tavistock branch of the Royal Marines? Association is planning a big celebration later this year, to commemorate Trafalgar night and the corps birthday on Friday October 21. The event will be for ex-service people and their guests only ? the number of people attending will determine the size and location of the venue, so organisers would like to hear from anyone interested in attending as soon as possible. The RMA aims to cover costs only ? the ticket price will be dependent on where the dinner is held and how many attend but is likely to be around £25 per person. Any ex-serviceman or woman who would like to attend should contact Yorkie Malone, RMA secretary at 2 Camplehaye Cottages, Lamerton, Tavistock PL19 8QG, stating the name, address and number of guests wishing to attend, and to which service they belonged.
