NORTHLEW is warming up for the popular Silver Band Guy Fawkes Carnival which will take place tomorrow (Friday.)
The event will start off with the fancy dress judging at 7.30pm in the Victory Hall after which the band, escorted by blazing torches, will lead the procession around the village to the Square where the bonfire will be lit.
Hot Dogs will be available during the evening.
It?s also carnival time in Hatherleigh on Saturday which starts a little earlier ? at 5am to be exact ? with the first run of the blazing tar barrels through the streets of Hatherleigh.
The children?s afternoon procession gets underway at 1.45pm and at 5.45pm the cattle market becomes a hive of activity when all the floats start to congregate for the judging and grand evening procession through the streets.
