CHILDREN’S Hospice South West (CHSW) is encouraging artists, celebrities and supporters to unleash their creative talents and create a piece of artwork for a secret online auction to be held later in the year.
With original pieces already secured from celebrated landscape artist Alan Cotton and the four times Oscar winners, Aardman Animations, there’s going to be some great interest in the auction and CHSW is hoping to secure as many pieces as possible to make it even more of a lottery.
Taking the theme of ‘Raise a Smile’, Art for Precious Lives is a fundraising initiative whereby pieces of art will be sold in a secret online auction to help raise funds for CHSW to safeguard its vital services for life-limited children and their families into the future.
Anyone can submit artwork and the appeal of this fun auction is trying to guess which items are the work of a renowned artist, and which ones are the scribbles of a celebrity, supporter or even one of our hospice children!
Emma Perry, head of community fundraising, said: ‘This is an innovative way to help support your local children’s hospice.
‘We are hoping to get as many varied pieces of art as possible, and we don’t mind how talented you are, the more variety of artwork, the more fun the auction!’
If you would like to get involved in Art for Precious Lives, simply email [email protected] and an art pack will be sent out to you.
