OKEHAMPTON'S branch of RGB Building Supplies has raised more than £500 for the firm's new chosen charity.
Staff from the Okehampton branch swapped their hard hats for helmets last month and spent the day cycling on a gym bike in return for donations to Prostate Cancer UK.
Their efforts raised £526.63.
The event formed part of RGB's participation in the 'Health and Safety Week 2015', which saw the builders' merchant highlighting some of the industry's health risks and ways in which accidents and injuries can be prevented.
Paul Fleming, branch manager at RGB Okehampton, said: 'A big thank you to everyone who made a donation to our cycle challenge, it's very much appreciated.
'This is a great start to our fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK and we look forward to holding further events to raise money for such a great charity.'
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men's health charity and aims to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life.
