AWARD-winning Tavistock hotel Browns has been put on the market for offers in excess of £1.75-million. Brown?s has just been named Town Hotel of the Year in the 2006 Good Hotel Guide and has been recognised for the quality of its food, recently winning a Les Routier award. This is the third time in the past five years in which the former 18th Century coaching inn has appeared in the Good Hotel Guide, its owners Peter Brown and Martin Ball having carried out a complete refurbishment in recent years. The 21-bed hotel has been put on the market through the Exeter office of King Sturge.
