POSTAL charges remain unchanged for this year's Brownie Christmas post in Tavistock.

The girls are selling their Christmas stamps for 15p from various shops in the town and will also have posting boxes in these places, plus the Guide Hall, from November 27.

The last posting day is December 15 — cards will be delivered over the weekend.

Organiser Kate Harding said unfortunately deliveries could only be made in the Tavistock and Whitchurch areas.

Proceeds will help fund a variety of activities for girls in the Tavistock area.

Stamps are available from Lakes pharmacy, Superdrug, Tavistock Launderette, Edwin Clark optician and Crelake Stores.

Mrs Harding said guiding offered many opportunities for girls and adults, but they were desperately short of adult help.
