SUBSCRIBERS to the Bere Alston BT Telephone Exchange are in line for faster broadband in December.

The exchange is to be upgraded from providing up to 8 mbps to 20 mbps. It is the only exchange in West Devon being upgraded to this technology at this time.

West Devon and Tavistock Town councillor John Sheldon said: 'This will be in addition to superfast broadband in the near future and this boost should double current speeds depending on your geographical position to the exchange.'

Also ready this month will be superfast broadband for Horrabridge.
