THE first half a young Bridgwater side came in strong numbers pushing Tavistock backwards with pace and skill. 

Tavistock, on the defensive conceded three goals, continued to battle, coming close on three occassions with strikes on goal by Chris Vinson, Carl Jeffery and John Barratt to leave the half time score 3-0 to Bridgwater.

Shots on target by Tavistock's Carl Jeffery with a scorching run to beat five Bridgwater players, and a flick by Chris Vinson saw Tavistock coming back to 3-2 and in with a good chance for a draw. 

Injuries to three Tavi players saw yet another change in formation, weakening the team. 

The second half of the second game of the season saw Tavistock struggling to match the fitness and determination of Bridgwater who went on to win 6-2.

Tavistock man of the match was Paul Mingo Goal keeper.
