A BRIC-A-BRAC and plant sale held in Buckland Monachorum Village Hall last Saturday has raised £1,300 for the Children?s Hospice South West. Linda Downing, chairman of the Buckland Friends of Children?s Hospice group, said she was delighted at the success of the sale: ?I?d like to thank everyone who came along, who grew plants and helped out ? I had an army of helpers on the day ? and I think a lot of people came away with some real bargains.? All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Children?s Hospice.
