SOCCER fans wanting to see Crystal Palace Football Club when they play in Tavistock on Monday July 21 can buy tickets to the match at Tavistock Tyres on Plymouth Road Industrial Estate, the main sponsors of Tavistock Football Club. Tim Schmid, branch manager at Tavistock Tyres, said: 'There's a lot of public interest in Crystal Palace's visit because they are a famous club and nearly won promotion to the Premier League last season. 'It's a big match for Tavistock Football Club and a lot of work is being put in by the club's officials to ensure it is a successful night. 'We are selling tickets for the match as part of our support for the town's football club. Customers calling in to have their car serviced can buy their tickets for the game at the same time.' Tavistock Tyres and tyre manufacturer Toyo have joined forces to sponsor the shirts of the first team at Tavistock AFC for the 2008/09 football season. The Lambs play in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division, while Crystal Palace are members of the Coca-Cola Championship. The game kicks off at 7pm. Stand tickets for the match are £10 for adults and £5 for pensioners and children. Ground standing admission is £6 for adults and £3 for pensioners and children. A child of primary school age will be given free entry to the ground standing area as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Tickets are also available from Active Co in Market Street, Mainly Stationery in Brook Street and Tavistock Hire Centre in Pixon Lane.
