THE presence of the Anne Glanville pilot rowing gig in Tavistock?s Bedford Square on Saturday generated interest for shoppers and passers-by.
The boat was ?parked? on the square as part of the launch of the Tamar and Tavy Gig Club.
The boat was on loan from the Caradon Gig Club based in Saltash and gave people in Tavistock the chance to inspect the traditionally built 32ft-long vessel.
The club signed some new members.
Anyone interested in joining or who would like further information can contact Bob Turner on 01822 841464 or John Pearce on 01822 840664.
