ERIC Pinch, who is a resident of Bishopsmead, Tavistock, the Tavistock Football Club mascot/matchday announcer, a Sustrans cycle network ranger, street pastor and Tidy Tavi member, is pictured left presenting a cheque for £414 to Sian Ward-Edwards, fundraising manager for Plymouth, North Devon and Tamar Valley Macmillan.

The occasion was Eric’s 70th joint birthday with former Tavistock resident Peter Vale, who was a founder member of Tavistock Athletic Club.

The presentation was made at an event in Tavistock Town Hall which featured the Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir and Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling. Guests tucked into a Cornish buffet of pasties, saffron cake and cream teas.
