BIKERS are invited to join in a Big Ride Out in aid of two charities on Sunday, September 1.
The first part of the motorbike ride will start in Tavistock square at 9am, and the minimum donation of £1 will be for the Anthony Nolan Trust. The destination will be Lee Mill Industrial Estate, to join the Devon Air Ambulance Super Ride — for which a £1 donation is also required.
The ride will finish at the Dartmoor Union at Holberton. Organisers stress that riders will be responsible for the way they ride and for their belongings.
Tom Grindey, who is organising the Tavistock section of the ride, is taking part in a week-long sponsored cycle ride from Cork to Kerry in Ireland in September, organised by the Anthony Nolan Trust, and is currently raising funds for this by selling raffle tickets.
More details on this and the Tavistock section of the Big Ride Out can be obtained from Tom on 01822 810527 and on the Lee Mill section from Debbie or Ray on 01752 830341.
