TAVISTOCK and the surrounding area has joined the realms of the major cities and now has access to 4G.

After Vodafone and 02 customers experienced diff-iculties with the networks a couple of weeks ago, it has been confirmed that it was due to work being carried out on the phone mast to roll out a 4G service to both companies' customers.

People with a 4G device can now access faster internet speeds with more reliability.

A spokesperson for 02 said: 'We are delighted that 02 4G has arrived in Tavistock.

'Our customers can now experience all the exciting benefits of 4G, including local businesses who can make full use of the mobile products and services that will allow them to grow and increase productivity.

'As we continue to roll out 4G across the region, we are also upgrading our 2G and 3G networks, so every customer will have a better experience.'
