BRIDESTOWE, Sourton and Lydford Pre-School are holding their annual holly auction this weekend to raise funds for the group.

Last year, the pre-school group's harvest auction raised more than £1,000 for two local primary schools.

The auction is taking place at the Fox and Hounds at Bridestowe on Saturday night, November 8.

The auctioneer will be James McInnes, donated prizes going under the hammer include a meal for two at the Castle at Lydford, beauty vouchers, and Christmas hampers.

The Bridestowe, Sourton and Lydford Pre-School group has 24 children on its books and has been running for more than 30 years.

If anyone wants to donate items for the auction they can contact pre-school secretary Vanessa Pearce on 01837 861584 or bring them direct to the Fox and Hounds on Saturday, between 2-4pm.

The auction itself will get under way at 7.30pm.
