Barnstaple Town 13 Tavistock Ladies 1 BARNSTAPLE went on the attack straight away, scoring in the first seven minutes. Barnstaple scored time and time again, leaving the score 9-0 at half time. After half time, Tavistock started to play a better game. Julie O?Keefe, playing her debut match for Tavistock, took control in the centre at midfield, breaking down the Barnstaple attack. Captain Kirsty Jones battled on the left wing, scoring Tavistock?s goal. Aisha Macauley worked alongside O?Keefe and passed the ball up-field to Atkinson and Honey, who were now attacking hard, only to be beaten by the crossbar and keeper. Barnstaple battled back but Tavistock made it harder. Good goalkeeping from Gemma Russon kept Barnstaple at bay for a while but a tired defence left Russon with one on one challenges and Barnstaple scored a further four goals.
