HOUSEHOLDERS in West Devon are being asked to make their views known about the borough's kerbside recycling scheme.
Questionnaires will soon be dropping on door mats, along with the council tax bills — part of a public consultation for the borough council's best value service review.
At the moment the council makes a kerbside collection of recyclable materials every fortnight, which costs 10p per household.
The borough does not legally have to provide this service, and wants to know if residents want it, whether they would like to see it changed, improved, or if they think it's environmentally worthwhile.
Cllr Richard Phillips, chairman of the waste reduction and recycling working group, said: 'It is very important that we get as much feedback from people as possible, as it is only then we can actually know what residents of West Devon really want.
'Your response will influence any decisions that councillors make about these services, and we will be publishing the results.'
Anyone requiring more information about the consultation process should contact the client manager at West Devon Borough Council, Kilworthy Park, Drake Road, Tavistock PL19 0BZ.
