MEMBERS of the Lamerton branch of West Devon and Torridge Conservative Association welcomed Geoffrey Cox, party spokesman for West Devon, last Friday evening at the Blacksmith?s Arms in the village.
Government plans to realign the South West, by creating regional assemblies dominated the open discussion.
Following the informal gathering, the branch held its annual meeting, at which the following were appointed for the forthcoming 12 months: chairman, Bramwell Hughes; vice-chairman, Giles Baigent; treasurer, Mrs Francis Baigent, and secretary, Miss Ruth Cundy.
