YOUNG Tavistock snooker player Andrew Symons-Rowe has just won the Plymouth and District Under 21 championship for the fourth time.

Andy, 20, won the final three frames to two after trailing at the start. The event was held at The Victoria snooker room in Plymouth. He also won the trophy for the highest break with an impressive 80.

Success evaded him in the recent English Amateur Tournament in Havant when and he lost in the last 64. He beat England international Scott Bullied to earn his place in the tournament.

Andy, who works at the Crown Centre in Tavistock, plays for the Royal British Legion team which won the Thursday league with one game in hand.
