IT's time to lace up your trainers and don your Christmas hats for a festive family fun run next month, in aid of CHICKS.

The Santa Sprint, being organised by the Rotary Club of Callington and CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids), will take place on December 7 at 3.30pm and will follow a route of approximately one and a half miles through Callington, finishing in the town square in time for the Christmas lights switch on, the Victorian Christmas Market in the Pannier Market, carol singing and the arrival of Santa on his sleigh.

The fun run is suitable for all ages, however under 16s must have parental consent and under 12s must be accompanied by an adult runner.

Entry is £10 for adults, £5 for under 16s and £25 for a family of four.

The entry fee is a donation to CHICKS and every entry will receive a santa suit and a medal, kindly sponsored by Ginsters.

There is no minimum sponsorship required, however participants are encouraged to raise as much as they can to help CHICKS to brighten the lives of disadvantaged children.
