BROWNIES and guides in Tavistock will be operating their usual Christmas postal service again this year with cards delivered for the price of a 15p stamp. Girlguiding members are asking customers to note the deadline of December 14 to ensure the 100% delivery record is met before Christmas Day. The community annually posts more than 7,000 local cards through this system and it is hoped more people than ever will support the guides and take advantage of the scheme this year. The special blue stamps are now available from all members of Girlguiding Tavistock and from various outlets in the town, including Pillars Newsagents, Superdrug and Lake Pharmacy. Special blue post boxes are also located at the same outlets. All roads within Tavistock and Whitchurch are included in the delivery area.
