A NEW Dartmoor watchdog group could soon be created by a West Devon woman, sparked by a long running battle with the planning authority. Sandra Turner, of Bridestowe, says she is concerned about the way planning applications are dealt with by Dartmoor National Park Authority ? and she believes the time has come for action. Mrs Turner said: ?It?s no good being British and just talking about things behind their back ? you need to bring things out into the open. ?We are having a meeting and thinking of starting a group, which I have every intention of calling the Dartmoor Vigilantes.? Mrs Turner said she would like to hear from anyone who had planning issues regarding the DNPA ? and she hoped plenty of people would turn out to a meeting she has organised this month. It will be held at the Royal Standard at Mary Tavy on Wednesday April 12 at 7.30pm. For more information, call Sandra Turner on 01837 861525.
