THE chairman of the Okehampton Show, John Hockridge, has expressed thanks to all those who helped to make the show a record-breaking comeback for 2009.

Mr Hockridge gave special thanks to the show committee, volunteers and the president, who helped make the show the success it was.

He said: 'This year's show was blessed with wonderful weather, which made it go with a buzz.

'There were record entries in the livestock section, which saw 274 cattle, over 800 sheep and 400 plus horse entries.

'There were also very well supported craft tents, WI and all the other sectors too, which really made it a record breaking show.

'I would also like to thank the general public, who came and supported the show on the day, and with the perfect weather, a great day was had by all.'
