ACCLAIMED children's writer Mike Kenny's adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's traditional tale The Little Mermaid is brought vividly to life by the team behind last year's Pandora's Box and Christmas show Pinocchio at The Plough in Torrington this Sunday, April 15. Storytellers Flotsam and Jetsam invite you to share their magical world under the sea, where there are fishes galore, a forest of plants, and the beautiful palace of the Sea King. They transform their underwater world to tell us the tale of a little mermaid who longs to see the world above the sea where people walk on legs instead of swimming with tails. When at last she visits the world of the humans, she rescues a young prince from a storm and falls in love with him. Desperate for the prince to love her back, she goes to the scary Sea Witch, who gives her human legs so she can visit him.
