IMAGINE Okehampton today, if years ago it had been decided to cover Simmons Park with low-cost housing.
Mr Simmons obviously had higher standards and better vision, than is being displayed at present around Okehampton, by the planners and developers.
It would be awful to allow this last little piece of green land near the town centre, with its view of the confluence of two Dartmoor rivers, to be covered over with a third supermarket.
Perhaps the developers could club together and return this patch to the town as a gesture of goodwill, or even for what was paid for it!
