POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a bus and a car which has left a woman and young child seriously injured in hospital.
The collision between a bus and a Vauxhall Corsa happened on the B3257 near Bere Alston at 3pm yesterday (Monday, July 15).
The driver of the bus was uninjured and two passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a local woman in her 20s, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There were two passengers in the Corsa; a three-year-old girl who was taken to Derriford Hospital with minor injuries and a 21-month-old girl who was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed in total for six and a half hours for a full forensic investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing.
