AN air ambulance landed in Tavistock Meadows yesterday (Thursday) at around 2pm to attend to a person suffering from a medical episode near the town centre.

Police were called to assist the ambulance crew in the King Street area of Tavistock.

Due to social media speculation at the time, Tavistock Police said: ’There is currently lots of talk on social media as to why the air ambulance has landed in Tavistock. Just to advise, police units have assisted ambulance [staff] in dealing with a person suffering a medical episode. Nothing more than that. #FakeNews.’
