STAFF at the Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre in Tavistock will next month be embarking on a sponsored walk of more than 150 miles in six days in aid of rescue animals.

Julie Beale, Hannah Dunn, Niki Ging and Catherine Jones will be accompanied by their four-legged friends for their journey from the Tavistock branch of Margaret Green Animal Rescue on April 5, to the head office in Church Knowle, Dorset.

Their first leg will cover approximately 27 miles taking them to Bow in an impressive eight and a half hours, followed by another five days of trekking.

They will be followed along the way by a support van that will be able to take any contributions on route. All encouragement offered along the way will be gratefully received and supporters are welcome to join in for a few miles along the journey if they wish.

The charity relies on donations to help the more and more animals in need of care.
