TWO very good teams produced a great game on Saturday but South Zeal created enough good chances to have taken all three points.

An even first half saw the teams start the second period at 0-0 and after a good spell of pressure South Zeal took the lead when Redd Cann exchanged passes with Stuart Entwistle and Scott Hooper and hit a low shot from the edge of the penalty area, which found the net when the wet ball slid through the visiting keeper's hands.

Westexe could not break down the South Zeal defence and the home side could have made the game safe on several occassions but the Westexe keeper redeemed himself with good saves from Robbie Sandercock, Harley Cann and Jamie Mallett.

The visitors equalised when a cross from the left was cleared to the edge of the penalty area and fell nicely to the feet of one of their forwards who finished well from 18 yards.

With ten minutes left South Zeal pushed for the winner but they could not find the net that would have given them all three points.
