TAVISTOCK A produced their best performance of the season so far to record a gripping 6-4 victory over Penzance 'A' on Saturday.

The availability of marathon man Adam Holland and club coach Tom Honey provided the pace and fitness of youth that the team has been lacking in recent weeks.

From the start TavIstock played an attacking formation and put pressure on the visitor's midfield and defence. Two goals from Honey and one from Holland put the home side well ahead at half time and in control of the match.

Penzance fought back after the break and pulled back a goal from a penalty corner before Tavistock restored their three goal lead from another Honey goal. Despite the visitors scoring three further goals Tavistock A maintained their lead with both Mark Baker and Phil Honey finding the net.
