TAVISTOCK athletes took part in the South West Inter Counties in Exeter on Sunday.

Eighteen athletes went either representing Devon or Cornwall. The event is once more being organized by Exeter based South West Athletics Academy. It is a chance for elite athletes to come together in what is traditionally a high regarded pinnacle of the regional athletics season.

From Tavistock Athletic Club was under 13s Tilly McDowell 800m who came sixth in 2 minutes 40.77 seconds; Soteris Perdikeas in the 100m came third in 13.55, a personal best, third in 200m in 27.96, a pb, and ninth in the long jump with 4.20 metres. Oliie Moody threw 29.05m in the javelin coming fourth.

TAC's U15 Holly Kinsey was sixth in the 200m with 27.74secs and she came second in the 300m coming with 44.01, PB; Jenny Milburn 800m, second, 2.18.41; Natasha Farrington 3,000m 11.34.81, seventh; Lois Fileman, ninth in hammer, 16.81; Josh Davis 200m 25.12, fifth and 800m, 2.10.36, second and pb and second in long jump, 5.28m; Jude White, 300m, 40.28, pb second and third in long jump, 5.26.

U17s Jade Kinsey, 100m 12.86, third and 300m, 42.06 second, Emma Ryder, 800m, 2.26.27, third over all. Aimee-Leigh Clowes. high jump, 1.54 second, triple jump, 9.84, seventh; Charlie Shipton, hammer 39.29, pb and second place.

U20s Tess Masselink 1,500 steeplechase 5.02.78, first; Brook Adnitt 100m, 11.92, seventh and 200m, 24.42 third; Sam Lane De Courtin 800m, 1.54.29 pb and club record coming second overall and William Dax, 5,000m 17.24.63 3rd overall and senior women Alice Rogers 800m 2.24.63, first overall.
