Tavistock Community (A) FC 2

Chaddlewood 1

TAVISTOCK come out on top for a well earned three points, the game got off to a quick start with both sides having chances in the opening 10.

The game picked up after 25 minutes when Tavistock midfielder James Burns was shown a red card for a challenge on the Chaddlewood keeper, this caused a heated reaction as some nasty tackles were then put in, with the referee having to book several players before half time.

Tavistock come out the second half fired up and playing some really good football, Midfield pair Charlie Dawson and Ben Stephens were moving the ball around lovely and Tavistock finally got a goal when Ross Sherrell found some space on the right wing and crossed a teasing ball which the Chaddlewood defence couldn't handle and left captain Stephens with the easiest of tap ins for his first of the season.

Chaddlewood then upped their game and equalised not long after with the Chaddlewood striker rounding Tavistock's goalkeeper to make it 1-1.

Chaddlewood then had two chances to go in front, with Josh Mcdonald making a superb save to deny the Chaddlewood free kick, and shortly after a goal clearance from Craig Langmead.

Tavistock got the winning goal with ten minutes to play when Sherrell broke the offside trap and squared the ball to sub Jamie Daniels to slot in to an open goal.

The win moves Tavistock up the league and above the opponents.
