TAVISTOCK made the short trip to Marjons for a friendly against the side that finished in second place behind them in South one last season.

Tavistock dominated the possession and territory but they failed to convert any chances, although Forshaw, Carr and Megicks all went close.

The hosts took the lead with their first and only attempt on goal in the first half.

The visitors continued to apply pressure and just before the break were rewarded when a clever touch from Carr who set up Forshaw who fired the ball past the Marjons’ keeper.  

The second half saw the visitors score another four goals, the pick of which was a spectacular solo run from Willetts, who smashed the ball into the roof of the net following a 30 yard run with the ball.  

Carr was rewarded for ever impressive hard work with goal, Walker scored a second half double to complete the 5-1 scoreline.
