Tavistock Golf Club junior Will Stenhouse had a great golfing week with three excellent wins. 

In the Summer individual men's matchplay knockout for the King's Own Scottish Borders trophy Will  took the trophy with a 4 and 3 win over Roger Downing.  Then, in a tight match against George and Nicky Gawman, he and Emmy Hoyte won the annual mixed foursomes matchplay knockout 2 and 1. 

To round off Will's week he played in the South West regional finals of the Daily Express Andalucia competition on St Mellion's Nicklaus course where he won by to two clear shots. 

Will now progresses to the finals in Spain at the end of November —certainly a week to remember!

The ladies played the qualifying round of the Daily Mail Foursomes which was won by Gail Reed and Hilary Picton with 35 points. They will represent the club in the next round, date and venue to be announced. 

In the men's Moorland Links medal first in division 1 was Gene Thompson with nett 69 on countback from Mike Apps. 

In third place was Mike Sutcliffe with nett 71 on countback from Jack Philpotts.  With an excellent nett 66 Lester Francis was first in division 2, second Barry Milligan with nett 72 on countback from Tony Cooper and Jonathan Coe.  Danny Brockington had a nett 30 in division 3, second Dan Cooper nett 73 and third Harry Hopcroft nett 74.
