LAST Sunday was the annual awards presentation and Christmas lunch for the Tavistock Wheelers.

More than 40 riders met in Bedford Square for a shorter than usual ride which ended up at the Peter Tavy Inn.

Everyone enjoyed a terrific lunch before enjoying the presentation of the various club awards. There were quite a few new trophies to be awarded, which is a reflection of the expansion of the club over the last 12 months. There are now 112 members spanning a wide range of ages from 14 years old up to 80 plus and including more than a dozem female riders.

Awards: Veteran club rider, Gavin McDougall;  lady club rider, Lyndsay Hobbs; senior club rider, Josh Bullock; youth rider, Peter Jarman; racer of the year, Mark Whiffen;  hill climb winner, Dan Strong.
