OKEHAMPTON ladies’ first team played local rivals Tavistock on Saturday and got off to a good start by going 1-0 up after a goal from a short corner by Hannah Gibbons.

They continued to have much of the possession. However, Tavistock were able to pull back a goal and continued strongly before scoring another and go into half time with a 2-1 lead against the home side.

During the second half, Tavistock added more goals before Sophie Whitely managed to sneak one in off the post from a short corner for the hosts.

Okehampton player of the match was Emilia Bazeley for her hard work and strong forward play.
