TAVISTOCK ladies played top of the league on Saturday. After a false start Falmouth were fast to attack. They were a well drilled team who arrived with confidence.

The home side stepped up a gear and met them with determination.

Falmouth scored their first goal which motivated Tavistock to avenge them. Captain Janice Scott scored the Tavistock’s equaliser. 

In the second half Tavistock knew they would have to work hard. The next 30 minutes stayed as an equal battle to score. Falmouth then scored an easy second goal. This spurred Tavistock to go on the attack which was rewarded when Hannah Nevin worked the ball into the D and Laura Armstrong finished it.

Tavistock felt like they had won the match drawing against a tough team in an excellent team performance.
