Clyst St George v Yelverton seconds

YELVERTON seconds travelled up to Clyst St George on Saturday and as soon as they arrived the heavens opened but the pitch was just playable.

Yelverton were asked to bat first on a sticky wicket and posted 157-4 in their reduced 32 overs. Captain Gavin Jones batted all the way through for a determined 43 not out, Matt Tamsett played a belligerent innings of 38 and Chris Cottrell chipped in with 34.

Tea was taken but the rain  became heavier and the pitch was deemed unfit for play.
