TAVISTOCK Hire started strongly with Dale Mullen terrorising the Yealm defence but with plenty of chances could not get through a resolute defence.

The breakthrough came five mins before half-time when Mark Wallace swung a deep corner into the box for defender Robert Moloney who met it with a powerful header into the net.

Again the Tavistock side started the second half strong and made it 2-0 when Des Newton held the ball up well to tee up Will Pike who slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Hire made the game safe with 15 minutes remaining when Mark Wallace received the ball 30 yards out turned his marker and superbly curled the ball into the top corner of the net.

Yealm scored a late consolation but Tavistock Hire held firm to take the three points.
