TAVISTOCK Golf Club played host to the West Devon Tri Golf Festival organised by the club's PGA professionals Simon Invest and Glenn Richards.  Fifty four children from nine local schools, where Simon has been teaching Tri Golf over the past 12 months, came to Tavistock to compete in a series of games to become West Devon Tri Golf champions.  The children, whose  ages ranged from 8 to 11 years, had boundless enthusiasm and really enjoyed the competitive spirit of the games.  The winners with 82 pts were St Andrew's School, Buckland Monachorum, closely followed by Horrabridge School with 80 pts.  St Andrew's will go on to the finals to be held at Exeter in June.  Also qualifying to go to Exeter were the children from Gulworthy School, winners in the Years 8 and 9 category.
