ON Sunday members of Tavistock Triathlon Club took part in the Tavy 13. The race which started at Tavistock College covered 13.1 miles around the town and up onto open moorland.

The course was extremely hilly and there were strong winds on the day which made it a challenging event.  

A big well done to all TTC members who took part. Nathan Newton who completed it in 1 hour 28 minutes 40 seconds came 11th overall, Mark Schofield in 1.35.04 and Janet Hopkinson in 2.27.54. There were many supporters of the event including club chair, Hannah Colston, who was a marshall and Lindsay Hobbs who participated in the Primary School Challenge with 55 children from Whitchurch Primary.
