WHITCHURCH School cross country team won the Tavistock and district Cross Country primary school competition. 

Races were held at St Peter's , Lamerton and Princetown schools.  The scores were added up after each event and Whitchurch were the winners.  The team train on a Wednesday and go out running in all conditions. 

A spokesperson for the school said: 'Winning was a big team effort, all the team are dedicated runners and have turned up to training in all weathers.'
