NEWQUAY managed to hold new champions Tavistock to a 19-7 lead at the break, but in the 20 minutes after the interval they were run off their feet.

In the first half there were tries for Andy Shuttkacker and Luffman with Richard West knocking over a couple of conversions.

Conor Riley scored an interception try for the visitors, which Ian Freeman converted. After the break there were tries for Luffman, Ross Batten, Dan Over and West, who converted all four.

Afterwards the team celebrated when they were awarded the league trophy in a magnificent season for the club.
