TAVISTOCK Squash's first team played their opening match of the new season on October 8 with an away fixture against ADS1.

Tavistock were represented by Clive Marais, Paddy Kerr, Andy Howell, Will Westlake and Simon Powell.

Will and Andy kicked things off to a great start, both winning their games 3-1 against good quality opponents. Paddy struggled to get his game going and Simon ran out of steam against an experienced opponent, which left the match poised at 2-2. Clive, playing at number one in the match decider against a very good player, won 3-0 to seal the match for Tavistock. He won the man of the match award for his performance with some excellent squash.

This season Tavistock have two teams playing on the Plymouth Company Squash League and we are always looking out for new members to join in.
