TAVISTOCK carried their winning streak to Okehampton this week despite the home side taking an early lead.

The visitors soon replied when a through ball from Becky Turner was met by Donna Weeks.

Tavistock then took the lead following an accurate cross by Sarah Blowey that was met by Sarah Martin.

Good work in midfield by Eleanor Hicks and Rebecca McMullin caused the ball to break to Blowey who lashed the ball into the back of the Oke net from outside the box.

Tavistock's goalkeeper Zoe Stock and the defence of Jess Eales, Lauren Schuttkacker, Laura Phillips, Chelsea Starbuck and Carleigh Bammens stood firm and ensured their team maintained most of the possession.

Another cross by Blowey was met by Martin, for Tavistock to take a 4-1 lead.

The same two players combined well again just before half time giving Tavistock a 5-1 lead.

Okehampton began the second half well and they held Tavistock at bay for the first 20 minutes.

Good work from Becky Turner and Tania Coker contributed to the next goal. Player of the match Rebecca McMullin crossed the ball in for Sarah Martin to head in her fourth goal.

The introduction of Jo Harris and Gemma Small provided fresh legs to keep Tavistock on top. Kirsty Jones made a short pass to McMullin who scored from just outside the box.

The final goal came from an excellent run by Hicks, for Gemma Small to net her first goal of the season and gave Tavistock a 8-1 victory.
