TAVISTOCK batted first in this local derby last week and despite losing two early wickets began to build a steady score.
Daymond and Manning were watchful to begin with but once past halfway began to open their shoulders.
Daymond made a very good 69 and then Jay Stevens, Tavistock's overseas player, joined Manning for a run feast in the last ten overs. Manning remained unbeaten with 86 not out while Stevens scored a rapid 72 not out to enable Tavistock to pose a daunting 279 for 3.
Lewdown were disappointing in reply, early wickets put them under pressure and all the Tavistock bowlers took wickets.
Lewdown slumped to 72 all out. The two spinners used, Jamie Stephens and Sean Cleave, each took three wickets, giving Tavistock an easy win.
