aON Sunday five members of Tavistock Triathlon Club took part in the Bodmin Sprint distance Triathlon.

The race started with a 400 metre pool swim in the Dragon Leisure Centre followed by a 24 kilometre cycle along the old A30 then a 5k run through wooded glades to finish.

Nathan Newton’s first tri of the season had a podium finish with his time of 1 hour 06 minutes 26 seconds and second place overall.

It was a first time triathlon for both Laura Newton and Emma Dooney who finished 1.42.44 and 1.47.09 respectively. Also racing was Hannah Colston who came fourth in her age category in 1.24.06 and Guy Mammatt (not pictured) in 1.23.42.
