Conference South

Tavistock firsts 1

Plymouth

Marjon A 2

AFTER a tough start to the season, Tavistock found themselves again playing against one of the top three sides in the league.

Tavistock started the game well and maintained a good shape throughout the opening 20 minutes, soaking up pressure and making the most of their opportunities on the counter account.

This concentration was soon rewarded with a penalty corner which Foreshaw stuck into the top corner leaving the keeper with no chance.

Plymouth reacted to going a goal down and cancelled out the home side’s lead with two well taken set pieces.

The second half saw Tavistock start to tire and more opportunities fell to their opposition. Captain Hayden Bond made some fine saves to keep the deficit to one goal.

Some late pressure from Tavistock was not capitalised upon and Tavistock went down to a close 2-1 defeat.
